It appears that the way to help them “handle this issue better” is for me to pay to license these domains. Sounds exactly like the original come-on from Internet Brand Justice & Safety Dept. Since it’s been nearly 3 years since the original message said someone had applied to register my domains in Asia and they haven’t been registered yet I’m not too worried. I might feel differently if I did business in Asia.

I received the following email from a real person — I had a series of exchanges with him and have combined them into 1 message below. My response was that he should post a comment on my blog saying his company is not responsible for these spam messages. He hasn’t done that yet.

I think you must know the bad effecfs the email will bring to our company and that is the reason we require you to remove the malicious information .

We received a formal application from a person who is called Brian Ball is applying to register “itimaging” as their domain names and Internet brand in Hong Kong and also in Asia on Nov 13, 2009. I have to admit, I enjoyed reading these posts concerning the scam. Hopefully, no one fell for it!

Our scam letter was like most others and included this:
1. Is this” PLDYInternational, Inc ” your Asian agent or branch here?
