I've been watching SOFII develop over the past few months, and it's having an amazing growth spurt.  It was set up to "provide charitable fundraisers everywhere with an easily accessible archive of the best fundraising creativity from around the world."  The quote from George Bernard Shaw on their homepage sums up the mission as: "The mediocre borrow. Genius steals."

SOFII houses a large and growing collection of sample fundraising campaigns, organized into 18 categories including:

  • Multi-media Campaigns
  • Fundraising Directly from Individuals
  • Membership
  • Capital Campaigns
  • Brand Development
  • Stewardship

and particularly interesting to me:

  • Use of data

They're also running columns and editorials by people like Mal Warwick, Nick Allen, Tom Ahern, and Ken Burnett.  It costs nothing to register and gain access to this wealth of information.  Check it out at www.sofii.org

My only complaint is that the site is hard to navigate.  You can't see what's there at a glance, and there's no site map.  Also, the navigation changes from page to page.  But the site is still in its infancy, and growing pains are to be expected.  It's worth browsing around.
